Moon Township was formed in 1788 as one of the seven original townships of Allegheny County. Its history crosses borders into neighboring Findlay and Crescent Townships and includes Glenwillard (Shousetown) and Stoops Ferry. Its story is told in vintage photographs by Mark Benton. The volume is in Arcadia Publishing's Images of America series.
